We believe it is important to nourish and respect all aspects of the child. The first years of a child’s life are by far the most important to establishing the building blocks of the child’s emotional and intellectual development. We strive to provide them with many opportunities to discover things about the world they live in, to help nurture their self-esteem, and to encourage their imagination and exploration.
We Value Play
Children’s play is their work. We strive to provide an environment that stimulates creativity and learning through hands-on experiences. We provide age-appropriate materials and toys that encourage open-ended and self-motivated play and promote non-stressful fun and unbiased learning.
We Value Our Environment
In addition to providing quality care in a safe, Eco-friendly environment, we also believe in taking care of our planet and being socially responsible. We use recycled materials whenever possible and use only natural and non-toxic products to keep our toys, play area and home clean. Our furniture is GREENGUARD-certified and we have been endorsed as an Eco-Healthy Child Care provider.
We Value Family
We believe family involvement is essential to any quality childcare program so we encourage parent participation. Choosing a quality childcare provider is one of the most important— and sometimes difficult—decisions a parent can make. Our goal is to build your trust by being professional, dependable, and honest, and most importantly, by caring for your child the same way we would care for our own.
We are a fully licensed and insured facility. Our infant caregivers have more than 13+ years of combined experience. Our toddler staff have early child education backgrounds and have worked with local Head Start programs and preschools. In addition, all staff members are CPR/First Aid Certified and have received background approvals from the Department of Social Services and the Department of Justice prior to their employment.
In addition to their experience, our infant caregivers have received certification to work with young children and they continue to keep their knowledge and skills up-to-date with early child education training through various programs, including the California Gateways certification program, the Echo Parenting and Education Center, and local city colleges.
We also periodically host parent/caregiver education nights with an excellent local RIE instructor from Our Parenting Place. These events are open to the public. To be added to our mailing list, submit a request through our contact form.
